Formats that work for Mobile Apps

Two original campaign concepts

Inbox to plan

Hook: “Turning five messages into one checklist”

  1. 01Show a staged inbox
  2. 02Create and assign the tasks
  3. 03Review the final checklist

Dialogue: “I copied the five requests into one project, assigned an owner to each, and added the dates that were already in the messages. Now the team can see the same list.”

Commute capture

Hook: “Saving an idea before the train doors open”

  1. 01Open the app from the home screen
  2. 02Capture a short note
  3. 03Find it later by the shown label

Dialogue: “I open the quick note, say the idea in one sentence, and tag it for the campaign. Back at my desk, that label brings the note into the project.”

Compliance and disclosure

  • Use staged accounts and remove personal data from recordings.
  • Show only features that are currently available.
  • Disclose subscriptions, platform requirements, and material limitations near the relevant claim.

Planning and review notes

Mobile app creative should show the route from an identifiable input to a visible result. In the inbox concept, use a staged account, copy five fictional requests, assign owners, and add only dates already present in the messages. Keep taps or a pointer visible so the checklist does not seem to appear automatically. If a step requires manual review, a subscription, or a permission prompt, leave it in the demonstration.

The commute-capture concept works because its constraint is time, not a vague productivity claim. Start from the home screen, record one sentence, apply the campaign label, and later retrieve the same note at a desk. Disable real notifications and replace personal data with plausible fixtures. The script must describe released behavior only; planned integrations, automatic summaries, or unsupported platform behavior do not belong in the interface.

Frequently asked questions

What data should appear in a mobile app recording?

Use realistic fictional accounts and content; remove personal messages, contacts, tokens, payment data, and notification previews from the device.

How are hidden manual steps handled in an app demo?

Show or disclose them. A workflow should not appear automated when a person prepared, approved, copied, or corrected the result.

Can upcoming app features appear in advertising?

Not as available features. Keep the video aligned with the released build and clearly separate any explicitly announced preview.
